How to Edit Divi’s Default Header – Article
Note that these instructions are only for the default header. Some sites use Divi’s Theme Builder for their header and/or footer, which gives you even more control over how your header and footer look. See https://learning.worshiptimes.org/wt-guide/divis-theme-builder-how-to-edit-your-global-header-footer-article/ for more information.
Divi’s default header contains a logo and one or two menus.
To change the logo:
- From your dashboard, hover over Divi and click on Theme Options.
- Click on Upload to add a new logo.
- Save Changes
To edit the menu:
See https://learning.worshiptimes.org/wt-guide/navigation-menus-video-article/. The largest menu closest to the logo is the Primary Menu. It is also possible that your site is using a Secondary Menu which appears as a top menu by default. Both are editable under Appearance –> Menus, and if you have more than one menu, there is a dropdown there to toggle between them.
To customize the styling of the header area:
- From your dashboard, hover over Appearance and click on Customize.
- Select Header & Navigation.
- Adjust the settings/options to your preference.
- Publish
Note that changes to the Customizer can only be undone manually. There is no revision history for the Customizer. Please make note of your changes so that you can change them back if you need to.
As always, if you have any questions, please submit a support ticket from your website or email us at support@worshiptimes.org.
