Use Amazon S3 to Store Audio Files – Video

Learn how to use your Worship Times website and Amazon S3 to store large amounts of audio files and use them on your website. You’ll learn how to create public buckets, upload public files, and copy the link for use on your website.


When creating a new bucket:

  • Under Object Ownership, select “ACLs enabled”
  • Uncheck “Block all public access” and check the acknowledgement

You can also edit a pre-existing bucket:

  • Go to your buckets
  • Click on the bucket
  • Go to Permissions
  • Under “Block public access,” click on Edit and uncheck “Block all public access”
  • Under “Object Ownership,” click on Edit and select “ACLs enabled”

When uploading an object:

  • Under Permissions and Predefined ACLs, select “Grant public-read access” and check the acknowledgement
  • Click on the file (under “Files and folders”)
  • Under Object URL, copy the URL for user on your website or elsewhere

Create user access to your S3 account
