Showing or Hiding Related Events – The Events Calendar – Video & Article
Learn how to enable or disable the “Related Events” area. This can be a powerful feature if you use featured images on all of your events.
In this article, we’re going to teach you how to enable or disable the related events area that is displayed on individual event pages on sites using The Events Calendar plug-in.
Note that this feature isn’t available on some sites and themes.
When you go to the bottom of an individual event page, you’ll see a related events area, with three additional events that you might be interested in and that are related. Note that if you’re not using the same size featured images, and if you don’t have a featured image on every event, this area can look pretty weird because there’s just a default placeholder image used. But if you’re using featured images on all your events and they’re set to be the same size, this area can be really helpful to your users.
- To enable Related Events:
- Log in to your site, and in the left-hand admin sidebar, hover over Events and then select Settings.
- Click on the Display tab and then scroll down just a little bit until you see an option called
“Hide related events.” - To enable it, uncheck it.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and press Save Changes.
- To disable Related Events:
- Follow the above instructions and check the “Hide related events” option.
