Setting a Default Location & Organizer – The Events Calendar – Video & Article

Learn how to set a default location and organizer. This is great when a majority of your events take place at the same location. The events system will select the location and/or organizer automatically. Don’t worry, you can still change the location and/or organizer if need be.

 


In this article, we’ll show you how to set a default location and default organizer when creating new events. This can be especially important and efficient  – when you’re creating a large number of events, you won’t have to select the location or organizer each time. This works especially well if most of your events take place in one location.

Note that this feature isn’t available on some sites and themes.

  1. Log into the back-end of your website.
  2. In the left-hand admin sidebar, hover over Events and then select Settings.
  3. Click the Default Content tab.
  4. Default organizer – select whichever organizer that you want to be selected every time you create a new event.
  5. Default venue –
    1. Create a new Venue under Events –> Venues then select the venue here.
    2. OR You can also set a specific address instead of just a venue.
  6. Save Changes.
