Event Views – Article
Multiple event views are available to display your events in a variety of ways. When viewed on the front-end, each view has its own unique link so that you can link to that specific view elsewhere, for instance, in your menu, on your home page, on social media, using a QR code, etc.
To enable specific event views:
- From your dashboard, hover over Events and click on Settings
- Go to Display
- Next to “Enable event views,” check the box next to each view to which you want visitors to have access. Options include: Month, List, Day, Summary, Photo, Week, and Map.
- Tip – only enable the views that you actively plan on using. For instance, do not enable the Photo view unless you add featured images to all of your events; and do not enable Map view unless you have events with different locations.
- Note that if you are using the default events page /events/, you can change the “Default view” and “Default mobile view” here as well.
Examples of Event Views

- Useful for a concise list of events if you have several events over a couple of weeks
Photo
- Use ONLY if you have featured images for most events
- Tip – make sure your featured images are the same orientation and similar in size.
- A week-view grid displaying the featured image associated with the event
- Displays a minimal amount of detail under the featured image – day, time, title of event

Week
- Useful if you have several events every week
Map
- Use ONLY if you have events that occur in multiple locations

- Useful if you have several events over a period of a couple of week
- Map-view only shows multiple pins if you’re using a custom Google API key and not the default one associated with The Events Calendar. If you only see one pin and are expecting to see more, submit a support ticket or email us at support@worshiptimes.org, and we’ll update your Google API key.
