Series are groupings of events that can contain a single recurring event, individual events grouped together, multiple recurring events, or any possible combination of events that you want associated with each other.

The primary benefit of a series is that it creates a page that contains the title of the series (for instance, “Concert Series”), a description of the series, and a list of the events associated with that series in a default summary view. Events in a series can have different names, different descriptions, different dates, different times, different locations, etc.

When you create a recurring event, a series is automatically created for all of the events in that recurrence. This means that even if you edit the event and split it into past and future events or edit one event within the recurrence, breaking it from the recurrence, all of the events originally associated with the recurring event will still be associated together within the series.

Create a Series

Option 1

• Creating a recurring event will automatically create an associated series

Option 2

• When adding or editing any event (individual or recurring), go to the Series box on the right-hand side
• Click on the drop-down
• Click in the box at the top of the drop-down
• Type in a new series name
• Hit enter or click on “Create:”
• Publish or Update the event to create the new series

Option 3

• From your dashboard, hover over Events, and click on Series
• Click on the Add New button at the top
• Minimally add the series title, but you can also add a description and already-created events from this page
• Publish the series

Add an Event to a Series

Option 1 (new or created events)

• Create a new event or edit an already-created event
• Under the Series box on the right-hand, select the series
• Publish or Update the event

Option 2 (created events only)

• From your dashboard, hover over Events, and click on Series
• Hover over the series you’d like to add events to and click on Edit
• Under “Add events to series,” click on “Search events” to find an event to add
  • Note that an event can only be associated with one series at a time.

• From your dashboard, hover over Events, and click on Series
• Hover over the series you’d like to add events to and click on Edit
• You can edit the title of the series, add a description and content, etc.
