Learn about the different event widgets that you have available to you for your sidebar and footer. These widgets can display information about upcoming events on your website, display a list of events at a certain location, or display a countdown to a certain event or your next event.
- From your dashboard, hover over Appearance then click on Widgets.
- Events Featured Venue widget
- In the classic widget editor, click and drag the widget into a widget area or click on it and select which widget area you’d like it to go. (In the new block editor, you’ll find this as a Legacy Widget).
- Add a title if you want, something like Upcoming Events or Events @ [name of your location]
- Select the venue or location from any of the saved locations you have in your event system.
- Choose how many events to show. Typically in the sidebar or footer, 3-5 is a good range.
- Uncheck the option to hide this widget if there are no upcoming events – this is so that the events widget doesn’t come and go from your website
- Uncheck generate JSON data if it’s checked
